At the heart of our planning work is an approach that integrates multifaceted community engagement with sophisticated technical analysis. We’re seeking a planner who brings a range of skills, including writing and editing, mapping and graphic presentation, public involvement coordination and a highly organized approach to task management. The planner will work as part of a team and must be able to help facilitate processes that meet high standards for meaningful participation and result in superior written and visual content.

We help prepare planning students to make a positive impact in the profession. Most often, our interns work at least 20 hours per week throughout the academic year. We prefer interns who are currently enrolled in a master’s degree program. Candidates should have a strong interest in community engagement and possess the ability to communicate effectively. Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and produce high-quality work. Proficiency in MS Office software is required and ArcGIS, Adobe Creative Suite, and other graphic skills are a plus.
