Planning NEXT is thrilled to announce that Emily Hays has joined the team as our newest Senior Planner! Emily is passionate about the impact of design on the people who inhabit and move through the communities she serves. She will utilize that zeal as she steps into a range of projects within our firm, including the comprehensive plans for the cities of Suffolk, Virginia; Grand Rapids, Michigan; and Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Emily completed her Bachelors in Political Communication at The George Washington University and her Masters in Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Buffalo. Since then, she has built a national repertoire, having worked for the City of Portland, Oregon, in addition to an Architecture firm in Portland, and most recently, the Department of Transportation in Fairfax County, Virginia.
