For the first time ever, Planning NEXT is eager to welcome co-ops from the University of Cincinnati’s College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP)! Two students are joining the office for their cooperative education semester in order to reap the benefits of “real world” planning experience. The firm is happy to have established a relationship with UC as their program combines real world co-op experience with a focus on urban planning, development, and design.
For the next four months, the UC urban planning students will work with the Planning NEXT team to fulfill their co-op requirement as a part of their degree program. Cincinnati’s College of DAAP is the only urban planning program in the country that is based around cooperative education experience. During this co-op with Planning NEXT, students will work on developing the skills to create livable and sustainable communities and have the opportunity to work on a wide range of the firm’s current projects, such as work with the City of Suffolk, VA; University City, MO; the City of Chattanooga, TN, amidst more. Planning NEXT looks forward to the knowledge and practical skills these students will learn as a result of working with the firm and its clients, and is confident that the talent and unique vision each student brings will positively enhance the Planning NEXT team.
The Planning NEXT Team is eager to welcome the talented students, excited to assist them in expanding their planning experience, and looking forward to working in collaboration with the University of Cincinnati’s College of DAAP for many years to come!
