Welcome to Ideas Week!
Ideas Week is the first series of events for Advance Knox, an effort to shape a new land use and transportation plan for the county. The following activities continue the events held from March 27-30. They provide an opportunity to let the county know what’s important to you.
Complete the three activities below at your own pace. Feel free to submit multiple responses.
1. Treasures
What do you love most about Knox County today?
2. Ideas for the Future
Think about the three broad categories described below and submit as many ideas as you like.
Places
As Knox County grows, what would make places better in the future? Share your ideas about:
- Places that reflect well on the community today or are good precedents.
- Places that need to be improved or have potential for new housing, employment, or commercial development.
- Places that need to be protected, maintained, conserved, or preserved.
Transportation
What would improve how people travel around the county? Share your ideas about:
- Safety
- Congestion
- Bicycle and pedestrian facilities
- Other transportation priorities
Other
What else should be considered in a land use and transportation plan for the county? Share other ideas of topics like:
- Parks, public spaces, utilities, or schools
- Economic development or collaboration
If your idea is related to a specific location in the county, use the map below instead.
