Welcome to Priorities Week!

Priorities Week is the third series of events for Advance Knox, an effort to shape a new land use and transportation plan for the county. The following activities continue the events held from March 27-30, 2023. Input will be collected through April 23.

1. Transportation Priorities

Based on previous technical work and community feedback, over 100 transportation projects have been identified to support the draft Future Land Use for Knox County.

For each area of the County, review the map below and the potential transportation projects in that area. On the form below the map, list up to three projects for each area you think are MOST important.

The County’s Future Land Use Plan (map below) is based on a palette of placetypes. These placetypes indicate the mix of uses and scale of development that are appropriate in an area if that area were to change or develop in the future.

Read about the placetypes

Zoom the map or click on one of the four parts of the county to see a list of projects in that area. Fill out the form below the map to list your priority projects.

Note: This map tool works best on a laptop or desktop computer, but you can also use your smartphone. If you have trouble using the tool, contact Michael Curtis, michael@planning-next.com and we’ll make sure your comments are captured.
