Congratulations to the City of Morgantown, West Virginia, whose City Council this week voted unanimously to adopt the 2013 Comprehensive Plan.
The plan was an update to the City’s 1999 Comprehensive Plan and the product of an unprecedented collaboration between the Morgantown Monongalia Metropolitan Planning Organization, and neighboring Town of Star City. Staff of planning NEXT along with the Columbus office of Burgess & Niple helped these organizations and the Greater Morgantown community develop a regional vision that served as the basis for each municipality’s comprehensive plan and the region’s Long Range Transportation Plan.
