Jamie A. Greene was named one of the 2023 Columbus Business First Power 100, a collection of one hundred names of the most influential people in the City of Columbus, Ohio. Mr. Greene was selected due to his leadership of the complex, multi-jurisdictional planning initiative known as FRAMEWORK.
In preparation for unprecedented growth brought on by Intel’s $20 billion investment and the Intel effect, FRAMEWORK was launched by the TJ Evans Foundation. This initiative focuses on aligning 15 jurisdictions within the 260 square miles of the county. To design and facilitate the process, The TJ Evan’s Foundation Leaders, Sarah Wallace and Jennifer Roberts, launched a national search for a firm to assist them with this effort and selected Planning NEXT due to their extensive and successful multi-jurisdictional work around the county.
Throughout the past 30 years, Mr. Greene, AIA FAICP and founder and principal of Planning NEXT, has been inspired by the voices and commitments of the communities served by the firm, with a considerable amount of his practice is focused on aligning multiple jurisdictions. Mr. Greene has worked in over half the states in the country, in addition to internationally. This includes multi-county work in the regions of Knoxville, Washington DC, Cincinnati, Birmingham, Baltimore, and dozens of county-wide efforts. In his work, character and quality of place are essential aspects for building stronger communities. Jamie is the lead Principal for Licking County’s Framework initiative and is keenly focused on creating viable and healthy communities for all 15 participating jurisdictions through thoughtful preparation of land use, conservation and development, mobility, and economic strategies. Over the past 15 years, Planning NEXT’s accomplishments have resulted in over 20 American Planning Association State Awards and 8 American Planning Association National Awards.
