Planning NEXT was engaged to assist Fayette County in creating a Strategic Plan to chart a clear, community-driven path for its future. The County undertook this important initiative as it navigates rapid changes brought on by major developments, including at a Honda EV Battery Plant.
Fayette County cherishes its rural character, agricultural heritage, and small-town charm. This plan will recognize these values while serving as a blueprint for growth, ensuring that local voices shape priorities around jobs, land use, quality of life, and more. The planning team facilitated a robust engagement process to ensure that the County’s wide variety of perspectives were represented. The plan will help guide decisions that affect daily life through a shared vision for a thriving, resilient county.
