n Cincinnati is the first plan for the city of Cincinnati in more than 30 years. The three year effort began in 2009 and planning NEXT staff helped facilitate the “process of discovery,” letting the process itself guide the plan’s direction.

National Planning Excellence Award for Innovation in Economic Development & Planning
Congratulations to the Columbus planning staff and our colleagues at Goody Clancy, the lead consultant, and McBrideDaleClarion.
The planning process focused on specifically attracting and retaining young ‘creative class’ residents who cannot afford the city’s increasingly gentrified neighborhoods. The East Franklinton Creative Community District Plan calls for creating of an arts and innovation district on 200 acres of distressed, partly industrial land.
