On November 6, more than 70 participants braved fierce winds to come out and share their perspectives at the ENVISION Jefferson County Community Open House. The event was the culmination to a series of public meetings aimed at soliciting input for a vision and action plan for Jefferson County. The evening kicked off with a presentation on the progress of the plan from the Steering Committee. The draft plan includes six initiative areas and 30 key actions. Attendees were asked to prioritize these actions in the second half of the meeting. Close to 350 priority votes were cast during the voting in addition to dozens of comments that were offered. Those who were not able to attend can share their opinions about priorities through an online tool.
