This week more than 100 people gathered at the “How Will We Grow?” Workshop to discuss what they value most about their community. The workshop was the first public input opportunity in the GroveCity2050 planning process. At the event, community members worked in small groups and had great conversation about the future of Grove City.
The workshop’s primary activity asked group members to gather around a large map of the city, identify places they consider strong and weak places, and discuss with some detail about the strengths and weaknesses of each location. The composite map, shown below, continues to become more robust as additional participants contribute online.
Community members and all who care about the future of Grove City are encouraged to contribute their ideas online through the end of September. Online participants are able to contribute to the composite map as well as elaborate on what they value most about Grove City and what they think are the city’s best opportunities for continued success into the future.
Visit GroveCity2050.org for more information about the project.
