Intel / Licking County Effort Launches

By July 21, 2022January 16th, 2023Project Updates

The potential impact of Intel’s plan to build a $20 billion semiconductor facility in western Licking County, Ohio, cannot be overstated. This is the largest economic development effort in the State and will have far-reaching implications across the region for jobs, economics, housing, infrastructure, and more. With the leadership of the Thomas J. Evans Foundation, 15 jurisdictions and several businesses and institutions are poised to address the unprecedented impacts of this investment. They have engaged Planning NEXT to facilitate the creation of a development framework. The process will assist the County and its most impacted local communities in capitalizing on this tremendous opportunity at a critical moment.

Managing growth and change are fundamental to our work at Planning NEXT. Ninigret Partners—a regular Planning NEXT collaborator—is part of the team. This project is a big deal, and we are thrilled to be working with the communities of Licking County.
