Jamie Greene, AIA, AICP will be speaking in two sessions at the American Planning Association’s National Conference in Phoenix, Arizona on April 2-5, 2016.

The first session, Unintimidated: Small Towns, Big Results, will also feature Toby Bennington, AICP, Planning Director for the City of Anniston, Alabama and Tyler Kent, Planning Director for the City of Valparaiso, Indiana. Using the case studies of the One City, One Vision Strategic Plan in Anniston and the ValpoNEXT Vision Plan and Creative District Plan in Valparaiso, the panelists will discuss how small communities can tackle great odds to manage outstanding planning processes through strong leadership, a focus on quality of place, and innovative approaches to engagement that generate emotional attachment.

The second session, Your plan is finished. Now what?, will focus on what it means — and what it takes — to successfully implement plans. This session will also include Kurt Schulte, Principal and Director of Transportation Planning at Walter P Moore and Stephen Stansbery, AICP, Vice President at Kimley-Horn.

We hope to see many of our colleagues and partners at the conference!
