Jamie Greene at Central Ohio’s ED411

Last Friday, community and business leaders from across the central Ohio region came together in Columbus for the annual Economic Development 411 (ED411), an event put together by One Columbus, the central Ohio region’s Economic Development organization.  Over 750 individuals came together to discuss the critical role of economic development in shaping our communities and best practices for elected officials, business leaders, and other stakeholders.

Jamie Greene, AIA FAICP, was honored to participate as a panelist in the breakout session, Future of Community Planning: Developing a Comprehensive Approach for Growth. Alongside moderator Rachel Ray from the City of Westerville and fellow panelist David Meadows from the City of Hilliard, Jamie explored how communities can use strategic planning and collaboration to guide housing, industrial, and commercial development.

The discussion emphasized how a comprehensive approach to planning can shape a shared vision for growth, address community needs, and foster sustainable development. By aligning community aspirations with practical solutions, planners can help communities thrive economically while preserving their unique identities.

The ED411 conference provides an invaluable platform for sharing insights and fostering regional collaboration. We are proud to have been part of the conversation and look forward to continuing to support innovative planning efforts that create vibrant, resilient communities in the central Ohio region and beyond!
